Zoom tooth whitening is the most advanced safe system that is available, and can only be carried out in a registered dental practice. Our dentist uses a combination of activation gels, whitening gels and a UVA light that accelerates the process.
Your teeth will get to the whitest shade possible. People have different natural shades and types of teeth and some whiten better than others. Most people can achieve between 6-8 shades lighter than the starting point.

2nd Visit - 90 minutes
It takes 14 days for the final colour to develop.
The duration of whitening depends on your diet and whether you smoke or not.
Teeth can be sensitive for a 24 period following the whitening
The hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to the teeth and an overhead lamp delivers UV light to the area, breaking down the activated gel. This allows oxygen to enter the enamel and dentine, bleaching the coloured substances while leaving the structure of the teeth intact.
The mouth is protected using a protective gel around the gums and lips. The treatment is completed at home for 3 days with whitening gel and trays.
It depends on your diet and whether you smoke or not. People who smoke will always be prone to staining and their teeth will likely darken sooner than a non-smoker.
Red wine, Tea and Coffee can also stain and darken teeth.
It is suitable for adults with natural teeth. If you have crowns, veneers or fillings, it is not possible to whitening those materials and our dentist will advise you if it is recommended or not. Sometimes patients have fillings or crowns that are actually whiter than their natural teeth and although it isn’t possible to guarantee a perfect match, it could improve the overall smile.
It is a a good idea to have a dental hygiene appointment prior to tooth whitening because it removes staining and tartar that the whitening gel cannot penetrate therefore this allows whitening to work better. Regular dental hygiene appointments also help to brighten and whiten your smile.
The procedure is not sore. Some patients report no altered sensation at all compared to others who experience bursts of sensitivity. It is normal to feel sensitivity afterwards although this settles quickly and desensitising solutions can be applied
Tooth whitening must be prescribed by a dentist and can only be carried out by a dentist, therapist or hygienist. Anyone who isn’t a dentist cannot legally purchase the whitening gel and that is why beauty salons offering tooth whitening either don’t have strong enough solutions or use unlicensed unsafe products.
Around 14 days the procedure will have its optimum result and any sensitivity will be resolved.
A deposit of £25 is required to secure the appointment.
