Stretchmark Reduction Treatment

About This Procedure

This treatment uses laser energies to target the damaged weak skin in stretch marks.  It has a CE marked approval for the treatment of stretch marks.

A course of 3 is recommended, resulting in gradual improvement of the stretch mark.

Results Achieved

It uses fractionated radiofrequency that targets the fibroblasts and enables them to produce better quality collagen and elastin, resulting in rejuvenated skin. This treatment is carried out in courses of three at monthly intervals. Instant results may be seen and felt, but the effects of building new collagen takes weeks, with the best results seen in two to three months with a continuing strengthening for six to eight months.

Common Queries Regarding This Procedure

How Does It Work?

It works by radio frequency energy being precisely directed to the skin in the form of a matrix. Healthy skin around the dots accelerates the healing process of the skin. The radiofrequency penetrates the skin through tiny perforations in the skin. Once the energies penetrate, they spread, which means we are able to get a lot of stimulation deep in the skin with minimal trauma to the surface.

How long does it last?

These treatments are delivered in courses of 3 and often a booster session every 6-12 months could be indicated to keep stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

You can continue with additional treatments to prolong the benefit.

For whom is it not suitable?

This can be used on all skin types, as no light energy is involved.

Can it be combined with other treatments?

Body skin tightening is an amazing treatment which complements this procedure. If there is also loose skin, body skin tightening can further enhance the result.

For acne, dermal filler can lessen any depressions remaining.

Is it sore?

It can feel like very quick hot pulses. Depending on the level of energy used, we could lessen the sensation with an anaesthetic cream.

What is the recovery time?

The skin will look red, like mild sunburn, and the points where the energy penetrates the skin can have the appearance of small dots. It will then dry and return to normal in 3-4 days. Placing an icepack on the area immediately after treatment reduces the heat and inflammation.

Keep cool and moisturised and avoid direct sunlight.
