LED light therapy is used for its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production, reduce inflammation and accelerate the healing process. Our light therapy is delivered via an overhead canopy that emits different frequencies and wavelengths of light energy. The nature of your skin problem, in addition to your desired outcome, will determine which type of light we use.
Red light supercharges the skin cells at a deeper level and is predominantly used for the anti-ageing benefits. It also has a powerful anti-inflammatory action which helps to accelerate the healing process. It strengthens the skin making it an ideal treatment for rosacea.
Blue light targets bacteria in the sebaceous glands in the skin thus reducing breakouts. It is a powerful, effective treatment of acne from specific acne-producing bacteria.
Yellow light therapy is effective in the treatment of sensitive skin. It increases lymphatic flow thus reducing puffiness to the skin and it also has a positive effect on clients suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), as bright light therapy is clinically proven to boost your serotonin levels.
Green light therapy targets colour and is useful in reducing pigmentation.

In a similar fashion to plants, our cells have the ability to absorb light and convert it into energy. I explain this to my clients with the analogy of UV light stimulating an enzyme reaction which causes our skin to tan. Equally, different wavelengths of light have the ability to stimulate different enzyme reactions which have a different effect on the skin.
